Always a warm welcome, great beer, and proper food. The steak and ale pie is amazing. There are also alternatives such as faggots or gammon and chips. To get a table get there early (12:00) Food is not served in the evening.

Proper old fashioned pub, good choice of beers. Local sausages available to buy and they are lovely. Samples of the sausages regularly cooked and placed out on the bar. Good place to have a nice pint and a bit of banter.
