Walk in the park!

A lovely place to just walk in the country. Not commercialised and some great walks through the trees. Nature trails and bird hides add interest too.

Coombe Abbey is a great place. Just outside Coventry, (walkable for the energetic!), there are acres of parkland, a play area and even donkey rides on Sundays. There's also an information centre, mainly aimed at youngsters and a cafe to recuperate. Highly recommended.

Lovely grounds to walk around. Ideal for families. They was a lake with a bird hide. Large forested area and a very good visitor centre.

A lovely place for walking and other outdoor activities. Woodland walks, play areas for children, lakes, restaurant. Plenty of car parking, but this is a bit expensive for families.

I've visited Coombe Abbey several times, it's great in the summer for a stroll or a family BBQ and it's an ideal place to walk yur dog and take in the beautiful British countryside. I've never visited the Abbey itself and should really make time to do so. Take a football or frizby, a few sandwiches and you're all set... More

Must say the ONLY disappointing part was the fact that the car park machine had no facility for change so unless you came with the exact change then it was awkward. Otherwise an excellent choice for a great house

We live locally and often visit Coombe Abbey as a couple to walk our dogs, although I have been lucky enough to eat at the restaurant a couple of times. The hotel itself is fantastic, but nothing beats the beautiful extensive grounds on a summers evening for walking the dogs in peace and quiet in the woods and fields. And... More

The buildings are in ruin, but are still never-the-less impressive. An impressive fountain which is operated fairly regularly in season The nearby church is worth a visit

We stayed at Coombs abbey hotel last week it was our second visit but wanted to have more time on this occasion to see the park. It's a great place to visit, ideal for small children/ families as theirs a lot do, from playing in the park to a great indoor area where they can learn about nature, animals, trees... More

Walked around the grounds and had a very pleasant day. Open areas as well as secluded and well used areas. Loved stumbling across running water as well as the lake/ pond. A good place for family or a quiet walk for a couple. Wish we had more time to go around all.
