Having studied about the Second World War in history it was nice to see how new could come out of the destruction of that time. The old building feels like it could tell many a tale if it could talk and the new cathedral is breath-taking and reverent. A must see when visiting Coventry.

Whenever I am in Coventry I always try to visit the cathedral. I like go in via the old bombed out cathedral then down the steps and into the 'new' cathedral. I particularly like the stained glass windows and the Sutherland depiction of Christ which I know is not to everyone's taste.

I've been intending to visit the cathedral for a long time and finally got round to it last month. Amazingly the tower is still standing and there are good views to be had from the top. It has been well preserved and the emphasis is on forgiveness and reconciliation. The adjoining new cathedral follows the same theme and they have... More

How great that David Camaron just was on the news and said that this month of Ramadan coventry cathedral will give food for everyone who wants breaking fast food, Starting from tonight around 9:20 pm. I love the fact that we as people can unite together no matter race colour or religion. Im coming down tonight.

This is a focus point for the damage caused by a severe air raid .For technical reasons with radio guidance it was the most devastating to date with the city centre being flattened. Fire wrecked the cathedral but it stands as a memorial to the waste of war with some fascinating pieces to view.

Went to the old one and the new one and although the new one is very nice, just standing in the ruins of the old one it felt so emotional it must have been a beautiful place it is very interesting to read the history of it.

Most people will have heard about Coventry Cathedral but its only when you get there can you appreciate what a magnificent building it was and how the new cathedral is a fitting addition that enhances the whole experience. The area around the Cathedrals represent what Coventry of old would have looked like as one of the largest medieval cities in... More
