A welcome break from walking around the university open day. The Cathedral ruins bring a real sense of despair and sadness to those who suffered in Coventry during the blitz, well worth a visit

We visited the new cathedral and also the ruins of the original cathedral. My husband climbed the many stairs of the tower but this was not suitable to do with a 3 year old. We joined in the short reconciliation service at 12pm and were...More

Quite a moving area with visions of what this bombed out city went through and survived. The new modern church continues the faith. People who begrudge an entrance fee obviously have no understanding of the expense of maintaining a large building and its operation. Personnel...More

I do understand that religious buildings must be struggling to maintain the building. However I do wonder how the church authorities can justify admission charges which prevent people visiting iconic religious buildings. Coventry Cathedral requires an admission charge of £6 per adult unless you are...More

Unfortunately the modern Cathedral charges for entry, I declined to pay as I believe Churches should be free to all. I did go to the bombed ruins of the original Cathedral, a wonderfully spiritual experience.More

We walked around the shell of a cathedral which has been poignantly left in its' bombed state. We walked up the spiral stairs to get a great view. Had a nice lunch across the road in a cultural centre

So many wonderful features to see, especially the stained glass. We joined the 11am guided tour, led by Gordon, which was excellent. The proximity to the old, bomb-damaged, cathedral was very moving.
