It was a total disappointment. The buildings, yes, are amazing, but you are better off staying around the area of Coventry Cathedral, St Mary's Guildhall and Holy Trinity Church. There are medieval buildings there as well. Its a dodgy area and the shops are really...More

Not really a lot to it to be honest but what there is is worth a look. The Old Windmill is especially worth a visit as its very old. Bars and restaurants a plenty. Pretty hanging baskets.

Giving a glimpse of how Coventry used to be, Spon Street is well signposted from the town centre and easily walkable. Any medieval, tranquil atmosphere has been rather spoilt by the motor car and the high rise tower blocks visible at both ends. Worth a...More

Look at old Coventry as if would have been in times gone by, within easy walking distance from the new town centre

Although the buildings are original, most of them did not originate in Spon street, and were moved there due to development in their original locations. Having said that, the street is perfect for a walk and to see many of the craft shops.

An assemblage of old medieval buildings - not hit by wartime bombing - make for a very pleasant walk. Lots of pubs and restaurants along here.

As a visitor to the city, I had an impression of Coventry as being a modern rebuild after wartime devastation. This street, which I believe is original buildings not all in their original locations was a pleasant surprise. There is a mixture of uses including...More

Just like most things the council does it is a mix bag of ideas that turns out disappointing. On this street is a few pubs of different types, curry house, kebab shop, a few shops no parking and poor lighting with uneven footpaths.. Not a...More
