The building that The Wool Exchange is in, is gorgeous. It is gothic revival architecture and was a wool trading post in the 19th century. Today it is a shopping centre that includes an electrical repair shop, Waterstones, several cafes and restaurants, and a salon....More

A spectacular grade I listed gothic revival building. Much of the place is now occupied by the Waterstones bookshop, where the shelves are rather dwarfed in the cavernous interior. Up on the mezzanine floor, the Café W coffee shop affords great views of the building,...More

In a city with some remarkable historic buildings the Wool Exchange is probably my favourite. Stunning architecture and history and congratulations to Waterstones who now occupy this building for preserving many features.

Waters tones book shop, inside a lovely old building. Coffee shop on the interior balcony area. On the day we went, they were giving away boxes containing slices of cake to celebrate Shakespeare's birthday. Nice touch (& very nice cake!)

Congrats to Waterstones for their sympathetic yet strikingly beautiful premises which compliment a Bradford landmark and for me far outdo the nearby Broadway Centre (doubt very much it'll look anywhere near as good in a hundred years!). Witness to the former greatness of Bradford it's...More
