Coming from Leeds and living local to the abbey in the past, I have visited the abbey many many times. Take a walk around the abbey, visit the museum and enjoy a spot of lunch there too. Enjoy

Lovely place to walk round, with parking close by. The abbey is impressive and we loved the museum afterwards (which had lots to look at and was very interesting). We will be back to try the walk down along the river, when the weather is better.

Visited in December for the Leeds Hidden Market hosted by sneaky Experience. What a great location. Despite it being a little damp under foot it was a pleasant walk round. At that time it was bustling with stalls and entertainment toilets available at that time and staff were friendly.

What a place to visit. When you first see the abbey you wonder how whats left of it is still actually standing. A walk around the ruins and you realise what a large and grand place this must have once been. When your finished a walk across the road to the museum is well worth the time.

Ad a lovely walk round the Abbey with a friend & her grandaughter. Loved the grounds & historic ruins and we enjoyed the visitors centre with many quaint and relevant gifts. We are lucky to have this located in our fab city of Leeds

The ruins give Kirkstall Abbey its charm. Huge park good for self-reflection and walks with family and friends, just to unwind for a busy week. Though it drizzled on a Sunday afternoon, I had a nice walk. Had lunch at the nearby cafe. The soup was good.

The abbey is beautiful and there is a lot of information regarding its past and the monks who used to live there, which makes for a fascinating visit. The space around the abbey is just as lovely with a lot of green and the river nearby, perfect for a walk or a picnic. I bet it is a wonderful place... More

Visited Kirkstall Abbey with a friend, thought that it looked amazing on first glance but then that was all I needed really. Pretty building, but not much to see once you've seen the bulk of it. Definitely don't plan your day round it, you'll have seen it all well within an hour.

Can spend a good hour looking around the ruins. Very interesting. Enter through shop to see ruins. Plenty of walks around. Parking across the road
