Awesome place for imaginative play, in the woods, along the stream then into the roman site. Great place for hide and seek, picnics and just running up and down the slopes.

Does anyone really know if Pompocali is Roman or Celtic? It is an intriguing place to visit and right now with a covering of purple heather is prettier than ever. The woods and stream add to the beauty of the place.

Good walk from Bardsey, through woods and past the Roman earthworks and derelict mill. A small beck runs alongside part of the route. Nice church back in Bardsey & finish with a good pint st the Bingley arms.

Not many clubs, bars or cinemas. View of the sky at night is clear. Best served with kebabs and ice cold beer.

Excellent variety of wild flowers and many solitary bees nesting in the sandy walls between the heather on the Pompocali site.

The short walk is in a reasonably nice bit of woodland not far from the centre of Leeds, so worth doing if you are relatively close by but not worth going out of your way for. Signage could be improved and the pompocali itself is...More

If you are looking for a nice walk in the woods with the kids this is the perfect place. Parking can be busy, but overall worth the trip
