Overview

The 24 acre Meanwood Valley Urban Farm has a variety of farm animals including alpacas, goats, sheep, pigs, hens, donkeys, and ducks. There are woodland walks, and a longer walk through our 5 acre coppice, where a variety of wildlife can be seen if you are very quiet. There is a small playground for children under 12 and you may want to take a break at the independently run Hungry Hedgehog Cafe which offers vegetarian options and facilities for warming baby food.We have our own car park and there is a Farm Shop with toys, gifts, plants and produce grown on the farm and fresh farm eggs.

Very affordable (£2 for an adult) Items in the shop were good and affordable. We couldn’t see the rabbits and the guinea pigs. The gardens were looking very tired and messy. Maybe a little treasure hunt or a questioner could be done for the children....More

Our 6 year old and 3 year old grandchildren enjoyed feeding the sheep and the goats (when we eventually found them) and liked the little playground. We were a little disappointed at how few animals there were to see at this time of year.

A lovely evening spent in lovely surroundings. Use of The Barn coffee shop and courtyard. Got to see some of the animals, which the little ones were thrilled at! Will return with the kids to look around properly.
