I was brought up here and spent my hildhood running around here...I came back with my running shoes on the other week. It was great to run once more through ancient woods, great range of footpaths and expansive grass clearings. Beautiful and peaceful and well worth a visit if you like running ( or walking ) in beautiful woodland.

We visit this park frequently and we love it. You would never know you were so close to Leeds city centre as its so peaceful and quiet. There are lots of different walks through the woodlands, a small lake with ducks, a cafe and an old fashioned steam/diesel railway station at one end. It doesn't matter what time of year... More

South Leeds has a hidden treasure. 'Miggy Park' is wonderful - woodland, open spaces, dog walking, a golf course, a pond for ducks and fishing, a bandstand (with performers) and plenty of space for children to play. Nobody outside South Leeds seems to have even heard of it! Much better to list than Roundhay or Golden Acre.

I've grown up going to Middleton park so it's very familiar to my family and I but over the past few years it's become a beautiful park. Its vast with acres and acres of woodland ideal for walks, biking and running round. There's even a steam train that's runs through the woods. The history is amazing and there are many... More

depending on your knowledge of the area you can park and start your walk at different entrances. Large park you can walk on tarmac or go onto mud or dirt tracks take your pick and enjoy a walk around the woodland. Depending on time the lake cafe maybe open for a drink and a snack.

First trip to the park today. Arrived by train, which was an interesting journey. Park looked nice to start with, until reaching the visitors centre. The food in the cafe looked basic, cheap prepacked food. It reminded me of something similar to a community hall cafe on a council estate. There were a number of dogs barking loudly tied up... More

Went with my partner and dog for a walk. My first visit and I was so surprised at how big it is and how nice it is. There's a lovely clean lake with seating around and cafe next to it and a playground. There's loads of fields to walk in and the woods are great as there's concrete paths through... More

Having lived in the area all my life & visited this park for over 60 years, I have seen many changes. Today we met up with our youngest son & 2 of his young children & took them in the children's playground. Our son stayed on the outer area as he had their dog on a lead. There was a... More
