If you're prepared to spend £10 per head to walk round then knock yourself out.. No way would I pay such an extortionate price to walk round a basic museum.

Small display in a large barn. Worth a visit to learn about the area and hands on displays. Well presented and interesting.

Good interpretation of the local ancient monuments. Child friendly! But the star is the barn itself if you look up at the structure.

This museum is great for scene setting before your visit. It tells the story of a keen archaeologist. I felt the lighting was a bit dim and it was very limited but worth a look in.

Although interesting, some of the exhibits I found a little hard to see how it fitted in. Would of been better for more about the area was fascinating about the dark side of Avebury as well as the historical archaeology

A small museum but worth looking at for the history of the stones - although you'd do much better going on one of the organised walking tours.

This museum is sited in a huge barn. Lighting is quite dim due to the barn being home to 5 different species of bats. There is lots of information relating to Alexander Keiller and his archaeological exploits. Also many of the exhibits areof the tangible...More
