If you want to know more about the stones and their history, their discovery and preservation then it's worth visiting the museum. It's small but with lots of artefacts and good info.

Full of archelogical items from the local area this is well worth visit. It is not vast, but doable fairly quickly. It is adjacent to the gateway for Avebury Manor.

If you're prepared to spend £10 per head to walk round then knock yourself out.. No way would I pay such an extortionate price to walk round a basic museum.

Small display in a large barn. Worth a visit to learn about the area and hands on displays. Well presented and interesting.

Good interpretation of the local ancient monuments. Child friendly! But the star is the barn itself if you look up at the structure.

This museum is great for scene setting before your visit. It tells the story of a keen archaeologist. I felt the lighting was a bit dim and it was very limited but worth a look in.
