We decided to walk the Town Path across Harnham Water Meadows after visiting Salisbury Cathedral. It's a short walk away and gorgeous this time of year (April). The view back across to the cathedral is well worth the walk. While I didn't get a good...More

This is a super walk across the town path traversing the water meadows. So peaceful, traffic free and enjoying nature as we used to be able to do in many more places years ago. A must do walk.

Walk from the Old Mill Pub at Harnham to the City visiting Elizabeth Gardens, the Cathedral etc. Beautiful views of Salisbury Cathedral. Look through the arch of the cottage adjacent the Old Mill to see a framed shot.

Walked the town path into Salisbury several times. The park at the end of the meadows is also lovely. Walking through the meadows we were lucky to see water voles one evening. The following morning we saw a small egret fishing watched for ages. Beautiful.

If you go past the pub after dark, look for the ducks that "parked" for the night! Lovely sight! Beautiful path toward the town.

I found the Town Path from the Queen Elizabeth Gardens and wandered along it, through scenes of amazing tranquility. There is water everywhere, presumably the Avon River and its branches, and you hear the constant sound of it flowing beside lush green banks with many...More
