One warm sunny evening I suggested to the wife that we drive out of Salisbury to the walk the dog somewhere a bit different. She suggested Figsbury and remembering the helpful brown sign on the A30 I agreed and we headed out immediately.
It is a rough track up to the monument & a rough car park, so avoid it after heavy rain! Otherwise, this hill fort is possibly unique in that the ditch is well inside the rampart.
