I arranged a spitfire simulator flight for my husband’s birthday. We were made to feel so welcome and the tour of the exhibition was great. The flight was fab great fun. Would highly recommend.

We popped in pre football match. It’s laid out really well, has some excellent pieces and you can actually interact with a lot of it. Definitely worth a stop if you’re new to the area and want an overview of the history.

Visited with my daughter and was made to feel very welcome. The exhibition of the flyers who moved planes during the war was fascinating. The heritage centre is small but vibrant with enthusiastic staff and helpers who are uber keen to share the local history....More

Thanks for your review, especially for your comments about interesting things for younger children and the selection of items for sale in our shop. We may be a small museum, but we have a lot to offer. And we are only 15 minutes from Windsor!

There was a lovely interesting lady on the desk as we went in and we spent time looking at the History of Maidenhead and although we aren't from that area it still was very much worth a visit.

We booked this trip, organised and run by the Maidenhead Heritage Centre, as a company outing. It was easy to park the cars in the car park across the road from Maidenhead Promenade and embarkation/disembarkation was also straightforward. The boat, operated by French Brothers, had...More

It is free to get in but there is a Spitfire simulator upstairs which will cost a little. It is not huge but has some interesting things on display and covers some local history.
