Having moved to England from England more than 5 years ago now, I never thought to ask my English fiancé to go there for a visit. But when my sister and her husband came to visit, I thought this would be the perfect day out cultural visit - and we weren't disappointed! The castle and its surrounding are nothing but... More

I always take a trip to the castle whenever I am in Windsor! It is simply beautiful and its a great way to learn more about this historic town! Cant remember the price of tickets but its well worth it if you spend a few hours wandering round enjoying the castle.!

We visited the Windsor a Castle for just an afternoon on a Sunday and I have to admit, it would take at least 3 days for us to be able to explore and read about all the details and historic facts. It is worth to pick up the self guided tour device. It really helps you to pay attention to... More

Traveling to Windsor was a great day trip. We had a London Pass and the trip by train was easy. We left very early on a weekday and had breakfast in town. Get in the que early. And if you want to truly enjoy the changing of the guard up close, go to Windsor! For the best view, you might... More

I visited the Castle when it was still decorated for Christmas which made it even more special but I really went to see the display of the Queen's dresses The exhibition was lovely and it was fascinating to see the stunning outfits which she has worn during her reign however that has now moved on to Holyrood. However the State... More

When we arrived just two rooms were opened for public. Dolls room and china room. Our expectations was at least more than that. All together less than 60m2. Not much to see. China was ... When we were last year in Vienna, took half day to see china, cutlery etc in one palace. Paid 40 pounds for entrance for two... More

We visit regularly whenever they hold the family activities. My 7 year old loves the kids audio guide and younger one loves the soldiers. The chapel is a wonderful retreat for the grown ups.

As a resident of Windsor I have "escorted" many friends & visitors around the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world and it is safe to say that there is something for everybody; from the changing of the Guard through the splendour of the State Apartments to Queen Mary's Dolls' House. Be warned, however, that it no longer has... More

This was one of my favorite places to see while my family was vacationing in London. It is a task to get there however. My suggestion if you are staying in central London is to take the tube to Paddington station. There you can get on a train (your Oyster card won't work; you'll have to buy an actual ticket)... More
