Perfect for a family trip or even a Rainy day activity can’t go wrong. Activity’s for kids with a cafe inside. Changing of the Gard is a must see. Chapel outstanding!

Very enjoyable visit. The castle was grand, too bad some parts of it were closed at the time of our visit. definitely worth going for those who are interested in history and can afford the drive.

I know that under 5s are free but would not have thought strollers would be allowed inside the state apartments. It may be useful to email the castle for more information before you visit.

I suggest you be there 45 minutes before opening, stand on the left side of entrance while the right side is for groups and you get in directly after opening without delay.
