Nice day trip from London on train

Easy walk from train station. Lots of medieval history. Church has graves of Henry VIII and others. Impressive architecture.

We booked to see 90 Years of the Queen's Clothes and included a trip around the Castle. Probably 40 years since I last visited! We arrived just after the Christmas decorations were put up and the Castle looked wonderful. We spent more time than expected enjoying everything on offer and thought the audio guide was a cut above the usual... More

What can I say, but this was an unbelievable experience to say the least. Everything about this castle is jaw dropping. Not many people in the world get to live like this and it was an eye opener. The wealth is unimaginable. Each room was better than the next, especially when you consider the age of what you are seeing.... More

I visited this castle for the first time and had a great experience. The staff were very helpful, the audio guide pack is excellent and the size of this place is amazing. You need to take your time and not rush as you will miss plenty. The guard change is also worth waiting in the Main Street to see. Will... More

Went to see the 90 years of the Queens's Clothes exhibition. Brilliant. If you get your ticket stamped at the end you can go as many times as you wish in a year. Tastefully decorated for Christmas.

We took a day trip out from London Paddington station, which was not too difficult. The only thing is that you have to change to a 2 carriage train at Slough. So you have to make your way from platform 3 to platform 1 after getting off the train. It was a short walk to the castle and signages are... More

Architecturally stunning - perhaps the best castle in all of the UK. Definitely worth visiting once in Windsor.

Make sure you pick up a free audio tour from the start, then it's amazing things all of the way around. Wow, what a place. Do take sandwiches if you plan to be there for a long time though.

£20 entry fee. If you sign for gift aid you can use your entry ticket as much as you like for 12 months from purchase date. The tour guide.Eddie was very good and lasted 30/35 minutes. The Castle State rooms and Dolls House were interesting. The whole experience lasted between 2 and 3 hours. There is no Cafe/Restaurant.

Awestruck and my other half laughed at me as a result. Every excellent comment you read is true. It's worth the entry fee - suggest hitting a guide tour if possible.
