My friends and I went to the Theatre of Small Convenience to see "Quackery Codswallop" and it we all had a good laugh. 6 minutes of funny nonsense all worth every penny we spent! Dennis was more than kind enough to put a show for us on a Sunday when it's usually closed. Apart from the puppet show, the place... More

Pure magic. We popped in on my Mum's 75th birthday - after meaning to for many years! What a perfect treat : ) A lovely welcome from Dennis Neale - amazing props, puppets, paintings and a show full of whimsy to make you laugh, cheer, smile and forget any cares... for a full 6 minutes! Do, do visit - we... More

Think Spike Milligan, think The Goons! British humour at it's finest. This has got to be a must see for anyone visiting Malvern.

It's a fun filled box of imagination created by Dennis Neale and his family. We have been coming to Malvern for a long time but only recently were lucky enough to be there when The Theatre of Small Convenience was open. The quirky scenery beautifully painted on the walls reveals faces looking out at you from hills and skies. As... More

We always pass this but have only recently stopped for a show, which the owner performs on request on Saturdays. This is an old public toilet which has been transformed into a tiny theatre and has been performing quirky 5 minute shows (similar to a puppet show) for years. The owner (and sole performer) is lovely and the children laughed... More

For the last few years, whenever I visit Malvern, I find myself drawn to this place. What used to be a Victorian men's lavatory is now the smallest theatre in the UK, founded by Dennis Neale, a dramatist and puppeteer whose passion for performance shines from every nook and cranny of this little gem. For less than the price of... More

One of the great British eccentrics. Unique in so many ways. If you're a visitor to Malvern at the weekend or school holidays put this on your agenda - it won't take long and you won't forget it.
