This beautiful 16th century building in the heart of historic Friar Street is run as a museum by volunteers. Displays focus on the house's past, as a home to Tudor weavers through to its use as an ARP Warden's office in WW2, and a school clinic thereafter. A cafe serves tea, coffee and wrapped cakes on vintage bone china. There is a Tudor Rat trail for children. Open Wednesday and Saturday 10-4, and Thursdays in the summer.

A fascinating glimpse into the history of the building, some of the previous residents and Worcester's past all for no charge although a donation of £2 is suggested and willingly given. It's run by informative volunteers and there's a lovely quaint tea room on the ground floor. The war memorabilia room was especially interesting. Would definitely recommend a visit.

When in Worcester, do search out the Tudor House. It is full of displays about Tudor times - wattle and daub, beds, dolls houses, a dentist's surgery (or torture chamber?), tavern, kitchen, coach yard with stocks, as well as a fascinating ARP warden's HQ, as the building was used in the war. There is lots of information in each room.... More

When I came to spend Easter here, it was after 25 years of visiting London and the Eastern part of UK. Worcester simply charmed me with everything...its people, its tiny street cafe.s and reastaurants, its historically rich snd impressive cathedral. Today I.m visiting Malvern

Tudor building with a range of rooms and exhibits. It is not a professional museum so a bit haphazard but that adds to its charm. Nice tea rooms

When I visited Worcester I was walking around and found myself in front of this house from the "Tudor time". We were curious so we visited and got a historical perspective from that time. It was also free of charge

A charming exhibit staffed by volunteers who so enjoy telling you all about the different areas of the house. Lots of things for young children to do and clothes to dress up in.

Old Elizabethan house turned into a museum, showing various facets of city life in each room from 2WW back to the Elizabethan era. Lovely little café for tea and scones after the tour.

From J Boy of Derby Interesting old house in an historic part of Worcester, 2 floors and a good inside into how an old kitchen looked like years ago. It's one of those places where you mind your head and enjoy the sound of the creaking floors. Free entry donations requested to help keep it going. The house is run... More
