We visited on a clear sunny day and the views were invigorating. The cliff train journey was interesting though you can walk and save the modest ticket price.

This funicular looks a bit tired and would benefit from a bit of loving care. Without wanting to sound pompous we have been on Swiss funiculars many times and there is a pride in the kit that seems to be missing here.

With the beautiful views, the steep ascent, the smell of good old train oil this little cliff railway is a great idea for families, use a free hour to go on this little gem!

It is not as concrete path, but made up of hard rock the type you would get in most woodland walks, but it can be loose stone. But with walking shoes) trainers should be fine
