This place never fails to disappoint! Great day out for all the family Good train ride approx 50mins each way If you gift aid your payment you also get a good discount off in the cafe. Very helpful and friendly staff. It’s a must!

Paid for first class very full and compact. We're able to go into reserved compartment this made it more palatable. Was expensive £60 for 2 return. Scenery was impressive. Only extra plus point we were given a £7.50 voucher to spend. Limited options for food...More

the train climbs constantly from Aberystwyth inland to Devil's bridge. Nothing spectacular at first but for the last few miles the gradient becomes steeper and the railway clings to the side of a cliff giving stunning views of the Rheidol Valley. Well worth a visit.

What can I say - but loved this trip..... it is expensive.... but no more so than other steam trains. Loved the cafe at the other end and the chocolate shop. Definitely looking forward to doing again.....
