A lovely autumn afternoon, so the Castle was looking very picturesque. The museum of local history had some very interesting facts and images.

In the centre of the town, Abergavenny Castle is another ruin with another story to tell, and one worth visiting for. The museum is small but well appointed, and the ruins are equally sparse but insightful, and with good information boards you can get a...More

Good to have free access to a valuable piece of Abergavenny history. Castle museum is small but nicely balanced with representation from several eras.

A great free visitor attraction with lovely views. The added bonus of a museum on site and toilet facilities. Information boards and display completed the castle ruin.

Very good clear historical data if Abergavenny with good artefact displays. Whilst the museum is free I do hope people make a contribution to help pay for upkeep

A lot of history in those walls, amazing views of the grounds and even the town. Museum has a replica of a bomb shelter and a little corner shop, worth a visit.
