you don't have coffee shop in the castle. but there is one in the visitor centre. bit don't forget that the castle is in the centre of the town so there are a lot of options for a cofee break

As above have said - 2 hours at least as the views are great and lots to see in grounds of castle. But can easily fit both in on same day :)
