Built in the late 13th century and reputed to be haunted by a past resident, this picturesque castle was built for King Edward I and is a perfect example of the "concentric castle" design.

The visit to the castle is very interesting. Besides being a building full of history, it has a beautiful view of the city and its surroundings.

I love the Edward I castles in Wales and Conwy is a good example. It's a lovely location. If you are prepared to climb the towers to the very top, the view is great. I have visited several times over the years, usually during the...More

Large, semi restored castle built by Edward I in the thirteenth century. Not a wow but worth a visit, along with his other fortifications in the area.

I had the fortunate of visiting on a sunny afternoon, and enjoyed this castle a lot. It's mostly outdoors, quite large, and does talk about some of the history of the castle (wished for more information, but I guess that's what the internet is for).

The Conwy Castle dominates the town and offers an interesting self-guided tour that gives the visitor a glimpse into what life would have been like within its walls.

The museum, shop & the grounds are fun you can also go round the ground floor but the ramparts most defiantly not as it would be impossible to do this

I'm guessing it wouldn't be suitable for a pram but would it be suitable to take a baby in a baby carrier?

A baby in a carrier should be OK. Some of the stairs/passageways can be a bit of a squeeze so some care is needed. Also by baby carrier I suspect you mean one fixed in-front of the body rather than "as a backpack". If... More
