I was led to believe this was a national trust location and due to the bridge being listed that there was a fee however we came out of th castle around the back of the shop and crossed the road and straight onto the bridge. Took some photos and walked along, it is a Thomas Telford bridge that was once... More

Once on the bridge it was a bit disappointing. Views were limited on one side a steel box for the train on the other side a raised road for the cars. There is no feeling of how the bridge was build it's history or purpose. The children were rather disappointing and they left within a couple of minutes. It should... More

A fascinating visit to a place we have only driven past before. The NT guide there was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the suspension bridge and the family who lived in the toll house

The house belongs to the national trust and is very interesting. Amazing to think it was the way across the water many years ago. Well worth a visit if in Conwy.

Built by Thomas Telford in the early 1820's and it's now a Grade 1 listed structure; it's also the most attractive of the 3 bridges which cross the River Conwy. It's free to walk across during the opening hours and there's a very small tollhouse cared for by the National Trust at the eastern end of the bridge. The best... More

As footbridges go then this is good because it so wonderfully blends in with the rest of Conwy. There are some excellent views of the river and estuary walking across

As we are N T members we decided to go to Conwy, and see this attraction. It's free to walk across the bridge, and it's fascinating to look at the structure. There is a small fee for the toll house unless you are in N T. Interesting to see how small it was.
