Had not heard about these before we came. Familiar with York and Chester, but not a breathe about the walls here. What a gem. Great views outwards and also inwards, behind the scenes view of the town.

You can walk along parts of the walls and the views are magnificent. We were lucky and went on a bright sunny day .. lovely and breathtaking too!!

Fantastic piece of history that you can get involved with. Walk all around the fortified part of Conwy, imagine what it must have been like to defend this against invaders ..... Ok, so it was built by the English to subjugate the Welsh, but you know what I mean ...... and the kids will love it as long as they... More

The walls are in good shape and one can take a reasonable walk. Beautiful views as Conwy is a pretty town ad the region is gorgeous

Our route into Conwy seemed to involve weaving in out of the narrow gates in the walls as we picked our way through the one way system to get to the car park by the castle. Being able to walk round the town free of charge was a bonus. Well worth doing. There are 6 staircases up to the walls... More

Beautiful walls from Edwardian period stretch around the city making car driving tricky... was built for horse passage and many archways are not very wide. Wonderful feature for history lovers
