A lovely day out with a large steam locomotive (ex GWR 3802) all along the River Dee. Saw kingfisher, 2 dippers, heron and many other birds. Great friendly railway, well run. Good value for money will visit again.
Enjoy a scenic journey through the countryside , whilst drinking Wine and relaxing . Highly recommend . Stops at a lovely little Tea room , selling homemade cakes and Tea in china cups ... a very English experience ( although you're in Wales ! )
The railway uses old 1960s rolling stock and they have captured the relevant level of dirt and grime of the old British rail. The carriage windows had not been cleansed for probably years. It brought back many happy memories of my youth
