Well worth it.

We went for a day in Llangollen and on a whim went to Plas Newydd. So pleased we did. What a gem. Lovely gardens but the house excelled. Quite a wow factor.

Wow amazing i did not expect to see such a things in the house the outside was good to look at but when you go inside it is amazing. All preserved great information and on entering the house a man talked to us about its history/Loved walking in to such a great place and looking at all the carvings it... More

A beautiful house (shame it was covered with scaffolding when we visited but you can still see its charms) with a pretty garden and a lovely walk down by the river. The way down is quite steep albeit there are hand rails so probably wouldn't be suitable for those less able bodied but once down there is a well marked... More

We passed by on a Tiuesday which is the only day of the week that the building is closed. Fortunately the grounds are open until 8pm. The setting is quite breathtaking with Castell Dinas Bran and the Eglwyseg Mountains in the background. The wood carvings on the frontal exterior are worth a look in themselves. The garden is very tidy... More

Lovely old house and gardens. Has a bit of a woodland walk around the back, and some very well kept plants and statues in the grounds.

The walk from the town up to the house and gardens was well worth the track of about 1/4 mile. The house only opens from April to October, so was shut on the day we went, however, the gardens were lovely - particularly the crocuses in the lawn. Lots of topiary hedges and beautiful views of the outside of the... More

Due to the time of year the house was open but it is worth seeing from the outside, the gardens are very very well maintained and the stone circle and water tower are fascinating

A beautiful little house which appears to be a stunning example of a small tudor house. However most of the way the house appears now is due to the work of a pair of ladies who lived here together during the early 19th century. Much of the interior and exterior are covered with intricate wood carvings and it has a... More
