We went here for a walk, we only go up to the lake as the weather wasn't good to go any higher up. The walk is good, the path can be a bit hard with being uneven etc so make sure you are wearing good...More

So much better than Snowdon. It is a challenging path up the boulder field, but the views from Devil's Kitchen and further up the mountain are stunning.

This is a very different way to Y Garn and beware there is a very stiff slog up Elidir Fawr at the start!

As the other reviewers say, y Garn is a lovely mountain to walk up on a fine day. It's one of the 3000 foot peaks of Eryri (Snowdonia) and a good introduction to walking in the area. Start early to have the place to yourself....More
