I am pleased with the experience, I would rate it higher but personally think it is a bit overpriced. My son got a little scared by walking through it, but he made it at the end.

Good for any type of weather and very interesting, quite wet inside the mine. Takes about 40 minutes to go around, so may be a bit overpriced for larger groups.

We really enjoyed this place. It was very informative and great to be in the mine. You climb many stairs inside the mine. Which allows you to come out to a great view at the top. The accessibility inside the mine was great. Hard hats are a must. If you pay by card they charge you an extra pound. Which... More

It was a spur of the moment decision to go in but we were both really glad we did. The tour isnt very long but it's really interesting. Be prepared for the wet and cold and you really need those hard helmets if you are tall. The story of the mine is well told (it makes you very glad you... More

We visited between Christmas and New Year, and while there were a few cars in the car park, had the mine pretty much to ourselves. For a reasonable cost you are given a laminated guide and hard hat, with instructions to follow the route through the mine at your own speed, which is great. (especially if you take the longer... The copper mine is reasonably interesting with plenty of audio stops. Towards the end of the walk there are a few flights of stairs, anyone moderately fit will be fine with this, but people with limited mobility (or very small children) may be better exiting via the entrance. The park/ play area looked good, but on the day we visited... More

We were here out of season so had the place to ourselves (4 of us) which was excellent. The mine is atmospheric and there are lovely stalactites and stalagmites to see and low ceilinged walkways and 186 steps up through the mountain and informative commentaries along the walk. It might be more of a squeeze in busier times. It is... More
