From a wider perspective it is worth noting that this museum is situated by the main railway station which, in itself, is a lovely looking station with beautiful stone and slate buildings. The museum is reached by crossing the bridge and there is also a cafe in an old carriage as well as fun for the kids. Just across the... More

Betws-y-coed was beautiful and with a trip to the model railway museum and a trip on the train it was made all the better. The children loved the train and the adults loved the museum.

This is a worthwhile visit for kids of all ages (including the more mature ones). With cafes and a vintage train buffet car conveniently located for whenever you fancy something to eat or drink, you can take your time here to enjoy all the facilities. For the little ones there is a two-seat tiny train they can operate themselves up... More

Old school model shop with great stock. Our dog was welcomed in and made a fuss of. Wish there were a lot more like this!

Didn't have enough time to apricate this little museum as we were on a time schedule with our coach party. Loved the railway, loved the shop and loved the museum. Helpful and friendly staff. This place is on our visit list when we next holiday, on our own not coach tour, in the area. Big thankyou to the lady in... More

We take our 4 year old grandson to the steam train ride on a regular basis. He never tires of the reasonable priced ride, especially if it's the steam engine, and the little shop selling all manner of trains is a delight for both young and old.

At £1.50 a visit to Swallow Falls just up the road is far more recommend then this dump. It may sound a bit harsh but... More
