The Wrexham County Borough Museum is a museum covering a variety of historical periods ranging from Neolithic right up until the present day. It is a rather popular attraction in Wrexham due to the free admission, as well as being open and suitable to all ages with a number of hands on activities for younger guests. The museum is the home of a large Welsh orientated football collection as well as a variety of local artefacts. The museum often holds special events and/or exhibitions.

This excellent exhibition is on until June 2016 and is not to be missed! In the words of Professor Barry Jones of Aberystwrth University, who has led the study of this unique site, the fossils are 'world class.' The fossils are from the coal seam...More

An excellent small local museum which displays the history of the area. The exhibition on the local military regiment was a particular favourite. When we visited there was also an exhibition on World War 1 and on mental health - certainly something different. The staff...More

Deffinately worth a look if you have a hour to spare in Wrexham. The museum is located in the centre of the town close to shops and there are always exhibitions held there.
