Theatr Brycheiniog, Brecon's Centre for the Arts opened in April 1997, as the first wholly funded Lottery new build arts organisation in the UK. The Arts Centre is probably situated in one of the most picturesque locations of any venue in the UK. Built alongside the canal basin in the heart of Brecon, serving the town and surrounding areas of Powys, Monmouthshire and beyond, it is rooted firmly in the community it serves. The venue currently provides a varied programme of theatre, dance, music and entertainment in its purpose built 477 seat auditorium and 120-seat studio/rehearsal space. It also hosts an exhibition programme in the Gallery.

One of the best views for a meal in Beacon, with an outdoor terrace for nice weather. Inside the theatre building.

Lovely meal at Tipple and Tiffin within the theatre, followed by an evening of fun and awesome Eagles music by the live Tallon band. Entertaining evening in an airy spacious theatre. Always a good night here with a varied programme.

Came here to a concert recently and have to say it is a lovely place. Centrally situated, with lots of parking nearby. There is a small bar / coffee shop on site. Staff at the theatre very very helpful and friendly. An absolute little gem

I'm writing this because I can't seem to find an email address to send it directly to the theatre! We went to a concert by calan last night. I had rung for tickets a few weeks ago and asked for seats with good access as I use a mobility scooter. I was told that there were no reserved seats, but... More

I am local so a little biast. I have seen some great professional performances, but also proud of the local theatrical groups who work hard to bring some memorable perfomances It's not the biggest of theaters but works well for the community and being situated on the Brecon canal bash it attracts many visitors

Visited for the pantomime Red Riding Hood which was brilliant. They have a lift and lots of leg room in rows B & C on the first floor. Good parking, friendly staff and always clean and tidy.

Great acoustics, and the layout allows all to see! First class staff, good bar for the intermission. Remember to book well in advance if you want to dine next door. Charming location on the canal basin. no parking problem.

We have been to a few events here and are always surprised at the quality of the shows despite the size of the auditorium. The staff are friendly and helpful and the whole area is nice and clean

We visited here for the first time to see Abbamania. The theatre is very well signposted and easy to get to, there is also a Car Park next to the theatre, which is free after 6pm. The theatre itself is located next to a Canal, which in the summer months would be lovely to sit out and make the most... More
