I enjoy visiting and taking visitors here. it is a vry large sand-dune complex one of the largest ofit's kind. it needs to be valued and kept.

One needs plenty of energy to walk over the dunes. Not suitable for people with heart problems, wheelchairs and rollators.

This is a great place to explore- dogs ruin the experience though as people let them run loose without any control.

Beautiful place to walk. Excellent place to train. Difficult to describe other than "get up and get down there". Dog walkers paradise. Away from the crowds and it's easy to forget troubles and worries when the surrounding are so enthralling.

Wonderful scenery and a great walk along the river to the beach at Ogmore by Sea or a more strenuous walk through the dunes.

The sand dunes can be reached on foot from Bridgend (3 miles), Porthcawl (3miles) or Ogmore (1 mile). There is a car park with a small parking charge where you will find a basic toilet block. The dunes are a national nature reserve with various...More
