Always love visiting the park, the play area is fab for my 5yr old and walks are great! Definitely pack a pair of wellies for trips down to the river and bottom gardens. The cafe is great for coffee and cake and food menu is good too. Looking forward to my next visit

Had a lovely day. Walked 3 of the walks. Took 3 hours but had lots of stops as such a hot day. Bout 3 miles. All the walks are quite short. Nice coffee in the cafe and the light meals looked lovely. Why I marked a star down was because of the horrid smell walking round on and off. This could have been that we haven't had rain in well over 3 weeks and the ponds are stagnant. Will visit again soon as it was such an enjoyable day. Well worth the £3.50 to park the car and the 16 miles drive to get there

A lovely place for a walk. The pond and its wildlife, the stream running through and the Oriental Garden make it that extra special. The on site coffee shop is worth a visit too with its lovely selection of cakes. Snack style lunches are also available - baguettes, sandwiches, pasties etc. The coffee shop has also (just this year) become pet friendly inside which is a plus for the many dog walkers that frequent the grounds.

The only downside for me is car parking charges of £3.50 which is a lot if you only want to take a short walk or pop by for a coffee. I truly feel halving the car park cost would increase footfall a lot OR which I think would give the park a bigger boost, make the car parking charge redeemable at the café. This would certainly boost café trade perhaps to the extent of widening the lunch range, justifying another staff member or two and just making the park itself more of a destination of choice.

Lovely walks along the river.
Gardens are of interest also.
Good size car park, next to this is a children’s play area with lots of apparatus
for them to have fun with.

This was a real treat to keep my daughter and her friend entertained! There is such a great amount of woodland area to explore and play and they loved running around. A very tidy and well kept park.

Lovely woodland walks and an excellent cafe serving "to die for cakes" and light lunches. Wheelchair users are welcomed - they even provide special wheelchair user outside seating.

This beautiful and relatively easily accessed park is just a wonderful place to spend a day, whether cold and grey or hot and sunny. I want to leave a review specifically thank the staff and owners for providing nice clean toilets. With so many public conveniences being taken away by local authorities, and an increasingly elderly and disabled population, having these facilities is a real blessing. I'm not just speaking for myself - I also voice the feedback from my mother who loved walking around, the little café, the lake, river/streams, the boardwalk and the lovely big house!

I come here on a train, get off at Tondu and cycle to the park. If I bring my mum, we tend to catch the bus from Bridgend, which drops us off much closer - but be careful of the bus times - there are not many of them, so don't leave it too late to leave if you don't drive.

Great location, great facilities, great staff, lovely day out - but only go on a school day! Other people, their screaming kids and barking dogs all tend to ruin the peaceful vibes.

We have visited Bryngarw on lots of occasions over the years and my cousin got married at the beautiful Bryngarw House. Bryngarw Country Park really is a hidden gem. The park is great for walking (dogs are welcome on a lead) or for people who enjoy visiting woodland and oriental gardens. There is a river teeming with fish and often squirrels and rabbits can be seen playing within the park. There is a great children's playground with an enormous slide and there are plenty of places to enjoy a picnic. Within the park there is a cafe and during school holidays the volunteers run craft workshops for children. This is a cheap family day out, because it costs just £3 to park all day.
