Bryngarw Country Park has plenty of history, the visitor centre and cafe are open all year round I believe, there are several nature trails to follow through the park and along side the River Ogmore, the park has a Japanese garden and bridge over it's lake, across from the car park is the children's play and picnic area offering plenty... Have previously visited and stayed at Bryngarw House, but first visit to wander the grounds with the dog. Pleasantly surprised what was there, its location and walks available. Particularly impressed when seeing staff / volunteers out in park ensuring site was clean, and taking dog bags off walkers to dispose of. Site I thought was particularly free of any mess.... More

Bryngarw has slowly declined since opening as park to the public many years ago and is now in need of some TLC. Whilst it is still a very tranquil place to visit and the walks by the river are a particularly good place to unwind, its a shame more could not be invested in giving the park a much needed... More

Lovely place for families with young children and teens. Play park for kids, sweet vintage style tearoom with lovely food. If a bit pricey. Country walks and a house for weddings, parties etc.

Went to a wedding and what a stunning place it is, lovely staff and food. We had a lovely sunny day and it was lovely to see the children running around on the grass outside. It would have been nice if there was a little more outside seating as a lot had to stand.

Visited here for a walk with the dogs one grey afternoon in March. Very peaceful surroundings and lots of little paths to follow through woodland. Followed a circular path which followed the river back to the car park. Dogs loved a splash! Finished off with a coffee and sandwich in the coffee shop which was amazing. So fresh. The park... More
