My son is studying dinosaurs in school so we thought he would enjoy a trip to the museum and we were all really impressed, especially as entrance is free. We only looked at the exhibits on the ground floor but they were really good, especially the dinosaurs and the woolly mammoth. We will return to visit the rest of the... More

It was a joy to spend several hours in this museum. The art collection is superb. The building itself is interesting. Plenty to keep all ages happy. Entry is free.

I visited here with my family (2 adults and a 3 year old) and was quite surprised how tired and boring the place was. I have not been here in many years but was disappointed in many things. It seems like this place has become a coffee drinkers dumping ground with overly expensive food and drink. There was not enough... More

Our 3.5 year old has got to the stage that he runs through exhibits so we don't tend to see much of any museum these days however the exhibits were so engaging that we actually spent some time reading... This a good museum which is comparable to any in the world. It houses the Impressionists collection donated by the Davies sisters but also caters for children visit the dinosaurs and holly mammoths. Great for a wet day of which there are many in Wales.

Spent an enjoyable couple of hours visiting the museum on a very cold morning! It has something for all ages, though I would have liked more local history
