This museum is run by volunteers, free to enter with a £5 charge for parking and dog friendly. Be prepared to walk as these old houses / buildings are spread out. The leaflet says alow a minimum of 2 hours, half a day to explore, We were there for 3 1/2 hours walking and exploring and still had a couple... More

Loved it myself but my patient really struggled with the walking and the hills a few more beaches would of been ideal otherwise a lovely place

Have read some of the trip advisors for St Fagans, honestly £5 for parking is real value for money, we arrived around 1030ish and we had a relaxing 2-3 hours walking around the site, upto the castle (which was closed , but we knew about that as we looked on the web before going), we went are over the site... We had a very good family day out at the museum. I was surprised to find that other than paying for car parking, there was no entry fee - I have been to similar attractions elsewhere and had to spend a lot more to get in. Great walks. Should be a five star attraction: 1. Main building/s under major renovation and currently closed. 2. Cold and wet icy rain did not help make our winter visit experience as good as it should have been. Great alive museum with buildings in the open which you can visit. visited this place loads of times and never get bored with it,there is so much to see and do here would recommend a visit.I love the welsh history and it is lovely to see how people used to live.Makes you reailise how hard times were

The setting is perfect for presenting the different architectural styles. Authentic buildings, shops, farming and manufacturing processes makes for an interesting visit that all comers can learn from appreciate historic life.
