Lush walk with dogs, had a cuppa and the toilet's are great too. Lots to see very beautiful . The grounds are beautiful, well kept, the buildings are stunning, and the smells from the log fires adds to the whole beautiful atmosphere

Wow this place is amazing. Be prepared for lots of walking but they have old farmhouses with the coal fires burning. Step back in time to see how people lived and worked. Free entry and just £5 parking.

Who said learning can’t be fun! Whilst not as glitzy as similar offerings over the border (think Beamish living museum in Tyneside) the museum is staffed by friendly and knowledgeable staff where learning comes with an emphasis on fun. Highly recommended.
