Interesting place, its sad that so many of the old buildings were lost when they developed it. There is a lot to be seen and you can walk all the way to Penarth, or visit the wildlife park.

The Welsh Parliament, old port admin building, Millennium Centre are all worth a visit. Be careful where you eat and drink as the standard varies enormously.

Highly recommend Octavo's cafe and a walk along the Bay towards Penarth where there's a huge children's park, great cycling routes and beautiful views.

We went in November so was a bit cold but we took the boat tour it was very informative delivered by the crew lots of bars and restaurants to eat at will be going back in the summer.

have a tour of the principality stadium it's very reasonably priced nut must be booked in advance. also visit Cardiff Castle and grounds. there is a hop on hop off tourist bus stop directly outside the castle for an option... More
