Visting students and wanted to walk off our meal . Plus take dog for quick walk before drive home .
Nice walk along a path and cycle track that leads to a play area . Nice views . Alots of places to sit .
Visiting the nearby Wales Millennium Centre, we took time to walk around and explore the Cardiff Bay.
Very nice dockside redevelopment of old waterfront.
Nice mix of cafes and bars.
A rare nice sunny October day!!!
One to remember!
Great views. You are able to take the water taxi/Aquabus through to the city from the bay. There are great walks along the bay straight through to the barrage. Plus lots of restaurants and places to visit in the bay.
Cardiff Bay is a must for any visitors to the Welsh capital also enjoyed by the locals as it really does have everything. The home of the Welsh Parliament and the five star at Davids hotel. The Bay Area is awash with fine restaurants and...More
The bay is a must visit part of Cardiff it has come on leaps and bounds from 20 years ago when it was a mere dock. With high end and mid range restaurants and a host of bars I would absolutely recommend
Very windy day, so wasn't really walking around. Went to the Dock Bar and restaurant which was very nice, prices quite reasonable, food was lovely. Staff great. I should imagine in the summer it is great with all the restaraunts open!
An interesting update of the old Cardiff quay's offering a wide range of eating and drinking places and largely free of traffic. Not expensive at all. Lots of parking nearby and good bus service into the City. Within an easy five minute walk of the...More

Hi, we went to Cardiff Bay for the Food and Drink Festival last month That is when to go for food, music and atmosphere....fantastic for families. I think we've got the last booking for accommodation for next, though we did this as soon as we came back. Regardless there are so many great restaurants for multi cuisines all over Mermaid Quay that you can just pop in. Most days there are live buskers playing. Our favourites are Zizzi and Bellinins , which are on the upper terraces ...but there are too many to mention. A boat ride round the harbour and up the Taff is well worth doing....There are all day oriental buffets in the Red Dragon Centre , which are well worth the money....Enjoy.
