Situated on the banks of the river Taff this is the ancient cathedral that gives city status to both Llandaf and Cardiff. A very impressive structure and in peaceful surroundings.

It's an east bus ride away from the centre of Cardiff, 10 minutes at the most. There is a really good collection and variety of stained glass, lots of really old tombs alongside a fantasic Epstein. The Cathdral is more of a big church with a really interesting history. It has very modern works and repairs sitting comfortably alongside much... More

The history of this site ranging from the Norman period to rebuilding after World War II to a very modern sculpture of a resurrected Christ makes the eclectic look of the cathedral grow on you. There was a funeral in process in the back chapel when I visited, which actually spoke of the active life of the church.

A small compact cathedral nestling on a hill side just north of Cardiff. Parts of the building are very old, some more modern due to damage during ww2. Though not on the scale of the cathedrals in many English cities, it is still an enjoyable visit. Even done is a lovely experience. Personally I'm not a fan of the modern... More

I visited my friend for a weekend and was lucky enough to take a walk along the river and around the cathedral. It was raining and muddy but so worth the walk. The cathedral bells were ringing while we walked around.... stunning and so glad I went

Very easy to get to on the bus from the city center. Lovely little place with lots to see, and the village is lovely too. We had a good look around, there are lots of interesting things to see.

The cathedral city within a capital city - Llandaf - is a pleasure. A tranquil haven 2 miles or so from the city centre, easily walkable through Bute Park and Potcanna Fields in 45-50 mins or by no.24/25/64/65 bus (£1.80 one way/£3.60 all day unlimited travel, correct change only, awkward Bws Caerdydd company!). The main door is open all day,... More
