Cardiffs historic landmark building in the Bay. Pop in if you are passing. Nice place with an aire of the past when Cardiff Barry and Newport werre the largest coal exporting portds in the world. Get to see some of the old photos that place this nice clean red-brick building right back in the grimey past.

We walked around the Pierhead Building on our visit to Cardiff Bay. You don't need a lot of time, but it is still worth a visit. Some beautiful tile work inside and lovely views of the bay.

You can't miss this building it is so red and solid looking, go inside and look around and find out it's significance. A film presented in English and Welsh explains it's former use and significance and gives your feet a rest!

Like the title says, pretty building that can be entered free of charge. There are some 1940's/1950's items displayed. We had seen everything in building after 10 minutes. The outside is very special with its deep red color. I suppose that on a summery day it'll be fantastic to take good photos.

This is a fast historic pit stop at the Cardiff bay. It's fast to see but interesting since the building itself is interesting by it's history but above all because of the red color and Gothic architecture.

Went there last year. A bit on the expensive side but well worth it if you have something to celebrate. I am going again on Wednesday evening 12th April with family for my 80th birthday. Looking forward to it and will write a report within a few days.

Beautiful terracotta coloured building now part of the estate of the Welsh Assembly. Interesting 5 mins film about the history of the dock area, shown on the hour. Could not go upstairs as rooms were in use. Helpful receptionist.

Incredibly well preserved building, the terracotta bricks & tiles look like they were made yesterday! The ceramic tiling in the entrance hall & stairway are also stunning. The video which was showing in the main hall, explaining the history of Cardiff docks, was very interesting & really put the building into historical context.

If you haven't been to the Roald Dahl Plass next to the Millenium Centre and Pierhead Building, you haven't been to Cardiff! 😀 These are some of the most iconic structures in Wales. The colour of the Pierhead Building makes it ever the more eye catching and attractive. It's difficult to get a clear photo of the building without others... More
