The cathedral is at the top of a hill so get a taxi. Recently refurbished it is beautiful inside and people quite friendly. Sadly it is in a very rundown unattractive area. The building is quite small, about the size of an average parish church.

St Woolos is a beautiful small cathedral with many impressive features. The Norman arches are in excellent condition and like all the other features, quite exquisite. It is a cool, calming place and I would recommend a visit. The old and the "new" blend in...More

Currently under some major renovation so some parts are not accessible but it is a lovely little church (cathedral). Well worth a visit.

The cathedral has been tastefully modernised retaining a very sacred feel to the building. The choir stalls are new and the organ was renovated recently. It has four manuals, and amazing 32 foot stop!

Visited many times over the years without learning about the history of this very old cathedral church. Try and get a guided tour, the antiquity and facts about worship on this site are amazing. Not the splendour or size of some of the great cathedrals,...More

Having seen that the Cathedral was rated highly on Tripadvisor, I thought it seemed worth a visit, but had not anticipated how stiff a climb it was from the shopping centre where I was parked (there is limited parking near the Cathedral, however). It was...More
