I took the Grandchildren for a day out in the holidays and they really enjoyed themselves. There were plenty of interactive displays to keep them happy and they took part in a rope making demonstration.

In the 1990s, both Swansea and Cardiff had real, impressive maritime and industrial museums. They were impressive places, packed with real exhibits from vehicles to industrial engines to looms. Visiting as a child, I remember it being a treat to visit Swansea’s museum – and...More

Big congratulations to Swansea university and the national waterfront museum for hosting this event. So glad we attended it. We all learnt lots and it was so much fun for the children and all absolutely free.

Very interesting place to visit. Plenty to interest the whole family. No charge for entry but there is a place to leave donations if you wish. Ideal place to go if the weather is inclement. Which it sometimes is in South Wales.

Excellent, well laid out with freindly staff. Not too large so as too get lost in too many exhibits but enough to get a real appreciation of Swansea maritime history. Lots of interactive screens and would imagine great for children.

First time here, but I didn’t think it was great. Ok for a wander around. It was free entry though which was good and you can get a good cup of coffee.

Visited on a Saturday at the start of half term, got there about 14:30. Firstly, parking was a bit hit and miss, as we wanted to be close to the museum so parked in the side streets, instead of the pay and display by the...More

Really lovely views of the Marina, with plenty of places to sit outside. The restaurant has very good choices of drinks and food, there is a small gift shop, café, toilets, and it is wheelchair accessible. Very educational and lots to see and do.

Free entry and great little café but the museum itself was lacking. There was little on display and only some of the interactive exhibits worked. Large rooms but mostly empty. Would recommend getting a coffee from the café though.
