While the US makes plans to build walls, Northern Ireland's wall with Ireland serves as a poignant counterbalance. Sure, the two territories bar travel after the wall's doors close each day at 6:30 p.m., but life between the two countries goes on. It was hard to see how deeply the division remains between the two Irelands.

We went on a black cab trip through the shankill and falls road area of Belfast it was brilliant as I never thought I would experience. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in the history of this area. Billy our driver was full of information and I even got to sign my name on the Peace Wall.... More

The city centre gives one a very sanitized idea of Belfast and it is not until one visits the west of the city in particular that you see the real Belfast. It is not in the slightest bit frightening. Indeed Belfast folk could not be any more welcoming.

I love this road and it's people. We done the black taxi tour and visited some of the shops and bars. The people are friendly and fantastic. My friends were a bit weary of visiting this area but the taxi driver reassured them and we had a great day. Don't be afraid of Belfast people having a 'yarn', that means... More

Just walking or driving down this street gives one the chills. So much history happened on these streets, that one has to go and take a tour to soak it in. Doesn't matter which side of the debate you are or neutral, this street is a must see. Many murals, and monuments, historic cafes on this street. If you are... More

All of the murals are very haunting, you can still feel the pain the people are feeling. Also scary seeing how each side hurt each other. All together very haunting. A must see

If you're into Belfast history this is a great place to stop off and see. Just over the road from the Crumlin jail it makes a great addition to that visit too. The murals are interesting and the peace wall, but I'd recommend a guide, other wise you're just looking at graffiti and not really getting the story!
