Lovely stop gap before boarding the ferry

We had a few hours to waste before boarding the ferry back to Cairnryan and came across this lovely place. We were delighted that this was free to walk around and the staff told... read more

The castle and it's grounds are free to visit. The gardens are extraordinary and cat themed. There are 9 cats hidden in the garden that you need to find!

I was looking forward to a nice relaxing lunch for St Patrick's day, what we had was far from it, the waitress took our drinks and food order. She had managed to get both orders wrong!?! And to make matters worse we had to wait a further 20 minutes because of her screw up. We also had to remind the... More

Today was a real delight 150 senior citizens enjoyed an afternoon of fun music good food and great views. My dairy free was catered for and i had a delightful snack. Tea scones were served for the rest of the people. The view from the door was lovely even in the rain. There is a small shop to have a... More

Took two young grandchildren to visit the castle and area - both enjoyed finding the hidden cats in the gardens and running off some excess energy - also lovely snacks and drinks inside the castle.

On a good day you'll get a great view over the city and Belfast Lough. It's well worth the walk up and if you're travelling by car then there is parking up next to the castle. There's interesting history to the castle and you can look in some of the rooms and go into the basement to the cafe and... More

Myself and 3 friends went for a drive in February 2017 and found ourselves at Belfast Castle. None of us had been in years and had forgotten how beautiful the castle and it's panoramic views of our capital city Belfast. We were all very hungry and decided to have a meal in the castle's restaurant. The food was well presented... More

Visited here with family and really enjoyed the break from the city for a few hours. The cellar restaurant offers some basic but decent food. We had sandwiches while my son had chicken and chips (he opted for the adult portion). Plenty of half portions available for kids. Staff were very nice and professional. The grounds themselves house a cat... More
