Anyone who likes museums should like this museum. The museum contains objects from around the world. An educational place for children. Schools often visit this museum from time to time the museum may get a bit noisy. If this would be a problem a Saturday would be a good day to visit or when schools are off.

Lovely way to spend a few hours with lots of fresh food refreshments easily to hand. The easy to read and follow exhibition of the history of NI makes for a perfect intro to the rest of the exhibits.

Was surprised at the amount of things there were on display. Excellent walk through the sands of time and display of Irish history especially the troubles!. It is 1second from the botanical gardens and 3 mins walk from queens university so opportunity to see those as well!

It's a big museum, and I saw only the art part of it, but they have an impressive art collection, and the building itself is also beautiful. Of course, the Botanic Garden makes for a great location, and the cafe is very good for coffee or lunch.

Most of the irish museums are free, and this one is a part of them, and did not dissapoint. You can learn about the Western World History as well as the Irish culture and rebellions, about the Ice Age, the oceans, the elements, and much much more.

The museum is giving a good go, with relatively few artifacts, at explaining the history of Northern Ireland. It's still a bit messy, mostly I suspect because they have so few objects to illustrate each of the phases. The spanish gold recovered from a sunken Armada gallion is one of the highlights, and they gave a good go at showing... More

Amazing collections and well displayed. Really worth a visit. Never seen a dog displayed beside a dinosaur beside an Asian military exhibit. Really cool!
