I love the scale of this Neolithic monument, the views of Belfast Hills in a westerly direction and patchwork of landscape in others. Today I smiled at the irony of spuds growing in nearby fields. Again, irresponsible dog owners let the area down.

This important part of our heritage is spoiled by some visitors dropping litter, letting their dogs poo everywhere and others leaving far worse behind. The stones are so important but it is totally spoiled by the mess. It is also well known for other reasons.

Part of large network of parks along river. The place is well known from centuries ago. Would not recommend to arrange as dedicated trip as there is nothing special to see. The set of stones have been constructed most recently and looks like modern construction...More

Recently attended an out door movie screening here in association with Belfast Film Festival. What a cool venue for a movie and what a great historic find

Visited during visit to Belfast. Added to our plan at the very end but it's worth it. Almost within Belfast. Good place for some nice photography.

Although its an ancient monument the car park of this place is more famous than the monument itself. Its notorious with dogging and cruising and is best avoided at night as its very secluded. The standing stones are at the centre of a huge earth...More
