The grounds of the parliament building are lovely, especially in the sunny weather. It is easily accessible, and the open top bus tours stop by regularly. It is a lovely place for a walk around the grounds. Would recommend a visit here.

A pleasant visit to the striking building of Stormont and the surrounding grounds. So soon after my visit to Belfast Zoo and my dismay at the unsuitability of its location it occurs to me that this largely redundant edifice and surrounds will make a much...More

Go here to Stormont for a good walk every once in a while, the building looks great and the land in front of it is always well kept. The statue just in front of the building is also very fine looking. Went here for a...More

Also known as Stormont Estate, the Parliament of Northern Ireland is a bit off the beaten path. It cost about 8 pounds by taxi from Belfast Central train station. They also don't have taxi queues, so one would have to be called when it's time...More

We took this free 90 minute tour with a very knowledgable guide, there were a large number of Americans, some Canadians, a couple of Irish and a few English visitors and the tour was biased to include these nationalities. The tour starts in the great...More

Visitors might not be aware that our Parliament Buildings are a public park. If you are driving, park at the rear gate in Massey Avenue or the front gate on the Upper Newtownards Road. Either side of the gates, the trails start. At the front...More

Sorry..I meant to add that Rev John Cleland and his family emigrated in 1893 and the newly formed Northern Ireland Parliament purchased the building and all 235 acres for what seems the bargain price of £21,000! The Cleland... More
Is it open on Sundays? If not, what other attraction would you recommend? We have one day and are planning on going to St. George's Mkt and to see the Peace Wall.
