This is a great morning out in Belfast, learning the basics of photography in a friendly environment. Philip is highly experienced and passes on his expert knowledge in a simple and straight forward way. He showed us various techniques for improving our photography and we all got individual advice even though we were quite a large group with different levels... More

Excellent outing. Philip has this course to a tee. He gives you a few take away tools that'll let you experiment more with your camera and taking pictures in general. The course moves at a good pace and covers all the family, holiday, landscape and action type shots youre likely to take starting out so you know what to work... More

We had booked a 2 Day Landscape Course with Phillip and it was just great! He did everything to make us feel comfortable, we learned a lot about our cameras, took some really nice pictures and very important: had a lot of fun! If you would like to see Northern Ireland from a different view, meet a nice person an... More

The 1st time I met Philip was on his GIANT'S CAUSEWAY workshop, at which I learnt a great deal about composition, manual settings on my camera - ISO, APERTURE & SHUTTER SPEED. My wife, listening to my excited report on the day decided she would get me a 1 On 1 tour with Philip. What a day! Recommend it to... More

Really enjoyed this, Philip is a great teacher 18 on the course and covered ISO, aperture, composition, shutter speed Great way to spend a Saturday morning and take pictures of the iconic Belfast City Hall and St Georges Market A couple of things to note, if I owned the Rhubarb cafe I would make sure its open half an hour... The Belfast Photo Safari is a very informative tour, and Philip is a great guide. There is quite a bit of time spent covering the basics for those who are not too familiar with their cameras, but once out and walking the pace is good, and it's easy to pick up plenty of new knowledge and ideas. Highly recommended for... More

I got a Groupon deal which made this unbelievable value. The setup is superb, its just the basics (Belfast walking tour) but even "the basics" are advanced enough to make a massive difference to your photos. We covered ISO settings, aperture, shutter speed and composition, undertaking tasks such as street photography, assignment photography and portraits. There is a half hour... More

Belfast by night made me appreciate the sights of Belfast. Loved it. Highly recommended. And as a local taking part on the tour was slightk embarrassed by my lack of knowledge of Belfast. Good fun.

Here are a great pair of city safaris, both are full of great tips and brought some reality to the sometimes baffling world of DSLR for me. You bring your camera, a tripod and in my case total lack of skill! Phillip is entertaining and educational, he goes through the key points needed to get your camera set up and... More
