We pulled up and were absolutely alone. This is a free activity where you can walk around the Abbey and grounds. The GOT used this location for the first season.

We went on a rainy day so we had the whole place to ourselves, apart from one other couple. It was interesting to see the ruins and to see what their interpretation of what it may have looked like at one time. A must see...More

My wife and I visited Inch Abbey to stage our wedding photos amongst the ruins. The grounds are well maintained, with informative panels dotted around the site giving the history of the abbey and monks, and the history of the site. Access to the site...More

I went because it was a Game of Thrones filming location but it's quite pretty if a bit small. There are a couple of signs on what the abbey was about and its architecture. It would make a good place for a picnic. Free.

We took a walk around the ruins after coming along on the railway. A very peaceful spot steeped in history. Information boards tell of the buildings and a day in the life of the Abbey

Visited as part of a Game of Thrones tour where scenes from first season were filmed. some information on the history. would be great for wedding photos one a sunny day.

This is an excellent ruined example of a Cistercian monastery. The Cistercian monks were responsible for the establishment of many towns around their monasteries and to think you are walking on ground trod by them so many centuries ago is amazing! I would advise however...More

Inch Abbey is a great place for wedding pictures it's lovely old walls if they could talk would be draped in history about Downpatrick and surrounding areas a must visit
