Accessible by 2 paths off the Newcastle/ Dundrum Road, along the beach from Newcastle, or along the beach from Dundrum. Stunning views of the mountains, miles of dunes & acres of beach. No real facilities on the beach - just unspoilt beauty.

This is such a beautiful place, I don't really want to tell anyone! But one of the lovely things is that you can wander the dunes and feel alone if you want to, or go down onto the beach for company. There were even life...More

Love this boardwalk and beach walk with fabulous mountain & sea views on a clear day. A wonderful spot to walk among the grasses and wild flowers. The life guards were on site for anyone hardy enough to take the surf. This was a must...More

Views are great. I went early evening. The Mountains of Mourne sweeping down to the sea are incredible. Remember to keep dogs on their lead and clear up any mess. Paths have been made for easy access.

Lovely walk through the dunes; dramatic views over the mountains; one of Ireland’s best spots! There’s a national trust car park but park on the hard shoulder at side of road to save a few quid and get max out of the dune walk. It’s...More

We could have easily spent all day here! All the walks to the beach are quiet, peaceful and well kept. The beach itself is breathtaking, we could not stop taking photos of the scenery surrounding us. I would recommend having a race up the sand...More
