The museum is well worth a visit at present it has an exhibition running on the story of the Laurentic ship that sunk 100 years ago in Lough Swilly. This part is free to go round and the story boards are well set out and plenty of exhibits.

Very nice museum with very friendly staff. We parked down the road and walked into the walled city to come across the tower museum first. What a great place to begin out tour of the city (little did we know that it would be washed out with rain). The museum is very well designed and took us through the history... More

We were recommended by friends to visit the Tower Museum and it was well worth the visit, telling the story of the city over 1600 odd years right up to the present day. Really interesting, although our 15 year wasn't impressed and was bored for most of it, so probably wouldn't consider it child friendly as it is not that... More

Very detailed tour from the founding of Derry all the way to modern day. Visited this as part of a tour but would have preferred to wander freely through the exhibits. That said we did have a great guide.

I spent a good two hours plus in the museum. I started at the top floor and worked my way down through the history of the Spanish Armada and the excavation of the shipwreck found off the Irish coast. I thought that was it, I was wrong. The whole history of the city of Derry/Londonderry was well laid out and... More

Visited this museum in November and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of information available (for a very reasonable ticket price). Very helpful and friendly staff, and the museum wasn't busy at all.
