This is an oasis in Derry, a short walk from the city centre. It is a soothing, quiet space with lots of green, benches, a wee pond, a playground and a Café (serving yummy food and drinks) that has glass walls on both side, one of which is right by the playground and the other one presents a breathtaking view... First visit to this park in 10 years and how it has changed. It is now a beautiful green space with small pond and lots of walking paths. The cafe and kids playground are also a great asset. It all looked so clean and well kept

Brooke park is definitely worth a visit. It has certainly changed a lot in the last few years. The money invested in tidying things up and opening a coffee shop has really paid off.

Went to explore Brooke Park and see what they'd done to develop it. Great friendly welcome from Ciaran (?) the ranger. Cafe was bright & clean with helpful friendly staff. Outdoor play area was brilliant with loads of different types of activities. The whole park looks just great, even in December. Popped into the adjacent new boxing & sports pavilion... More

I grew up in the 60's right beside this park and with it now being refurbished it's really beautiful again. The cafe in the park is lovely although a bit expensive.

Brooke Park has recently undergone a multi million pound development which has seen the whole infrastructure of the park change with new pathways, buildings, sporting facilities and a fantastic kids park suitable for lots of different ages. The best new attraction is the cafe which has a glass front allowing you to observe the kids or just have a nice... More

When I first discovered this park, I was rather surprised at its continued presence in Derry certainly under its current name - named after a man who infamously claimed he "wouldn't have a catholic about the place" which I guess is a credit to the people of the city that they let go of the troubled past. Anyhow it was... More

Had a wander round the recently reopened Brooke Park with my partner who grew up next to the park as my guide and really enjoyed it. There are great views over Derry City with St Eugene Cathedral piercing the sky line. Beautifully laid out flower beds and a small play park for the kids. There even the now obligatory cafe... More

I like new Brooke park. It has children's play area, a cafe and a wee pond. I hope people don't wreck it.

Hoping when the refurbishments are eventually finished !!!!! there will be a good facility for all age groups. At the moment work is over due to being finished and very dusty and dirty walking through. Stay away until it is officially opened again and ready to use properly.
